Sarah

RVT Manager

Sarah has always been passionate about animals and their wellbeing. She graduated from the NAIT Animal Health Technology program in 2009 and shortly after became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Assistant (CCRA). Recently, she obtained her Fear Free Certification.
Sarah has worked in small animal general practice as well as specialty practice in surgery/anesthesia.

In her spare time, Sarah is kept busy with her husband and young son, their Bernese Mountain Dogs, Moose and Daphne, and her forever growing indoor plant collection. She enjoys jogging, camping, hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, and scuba diving.
Sarah looks forward to building many trusted relationships with the clients and patients of Tri-Municipal Veterinary Clinic.

Shayla

RVT Lead

Shayla graduated as a veterinary technician in 2006 in Saskatoon, where she worked in private clinics and at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. In 2009, she moved with her husband, Ben to Grande Prairie where she continued her career in private practice. In May 2011, she welcomed her first child and that October moved to Spruce Grove. In July 2012 she returned to work at a local clinic. She is happy to call Spruce Grove her home and to be raising her family here.

In her spare time, Shayla keeps very active chasing after her three children, Aiden, Caitlin and Kelsey, and her lab cross, Jersey.

Alicia

(maternity leave)

Alicia grew up in Calgary and knew she wanted to work in the veterinary industry since childhood, always having a deep love of animals. She graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Olds College in 2017. In her first job at an exotic animal clinic, Alicia was exposed to a vast array of critters! She then moved to Edmonton with her husband where she worked in a small animal practice for 6 years. There she developed a passion for providing quality patient care.
She and her husband then moved to Spruce Grove where they look forward to raising their young children. When not at work Alicia enjoys cuddling with her cats Howard and Redbeard, reading, camping with family and friends and chasing down her rambunctious toddler!

Bailey

Bailey is a Registered Veterinary Technologist and the Large Animal Team Lead, know for her bubbly personality, strong work ethic, and genuine passion for all creatures – big, small, and everything in between. Her journey in animal care started with graduating from the VMA program at NAIT in 2018 and continued on with her RVT diploma from Thompson Rivers University in 2024
Whether she’s helping manage the Large Animal Department, supporting clients, or working hands-on with patients, Bailey brings energy, dedication, and a love of teamwork to everything she does.
When she is not at the clinic, you can usually find her helping on the farm, on a hiking trail, lost in a good book, experimenting with new baking recipes, or tending to her garden.

Brooke

Brooke was born and raised in St. Albert. Her love for animals started after attending a horse summer camp. From there her animal family grew starting with bunnies, then a dog, birds, horses, cats and just recently a tortoise. One of her main hobbies, aside from snowboarding, quadding and sledding is horse back riding. Over the years she has trained in both English and Western although her passion is Western. She has also been a volunteer for therapeutic riding lessons as well as helped at a ranch doing mountain trail rides.

After graduating high school, it was an easy decision for Brooke to know how she wanted to spend her days, given her love of animals. Brooke completed the online Penn Foster Veterinary Technician Associate Degree, while at the same time working to gain first hand practical clinic experience. In the future, Brooke hopes to gain more experience working with large animals.

Courtney B.

Courtney has always had an immense love for animals, inevitably leading her to veterinary medicine. Originally from Fort McMurray, Courtney moved to Edmonton to attend NAIT’s Animal Health Technology program. After spending 8 years in the city, her and her husband welcomed their first child, which brought them to Stony Plain to be closer to family. She loves working with animals of all kind to provide the best medicine possible, with a particular interest in dentistry, fear free patient care, and client communiction. She loves what she does and couldn’t imagine a career in anything else!

In her spare time, Courtney enjoys baking, gardening, baseball, and loves spending time with her husband and son.

Courtney C.

Courtney has always had a love for animals! She graduated from Grande Prairie Regional College in 2011. After graduation, Courtney began her career in general practice, followed by a shift into emergency medicine. She absolutely loved it!

After deciding to start a family, Courtney returned to general practice, joining the Tri-Municipal Veterinary team. Outside of part time work, she loves being a stay at home mom to her 2 kids, spending time outdoors with her family, and having some cuddles with her 2 cats, Ruth and Nermal.

Kristy

Kristy grew up in the Edmonton area. From a young age, she developed a strong love of animals and always knew she wanted to pursue a career in animal health in some way. Upon graduating from the NAIT Animal Health Technology program in 2003, Kristy started at a small animal practice in the city. She then pursued her career in a mixed animal, rural practice for 14 years. Kristy enjoys working with a variety of species and the challenges this provides!

Kristy currently resides in Edmonton with her husband Randy and 2 girls, Kennedy and McKenzi. They have a dog, Mille, a cat, Leo, and a leopard gecko, Isaac. In her spare time, Kristy enjoys camping, skiing, snowshoeing, reading, and any activity with her family.

Jade

Jade began her career in the veterinary assistants program and began working in general practice in 2019. Wanting to continue her journey, Jade enrolled and graduated from the NAIT tech program in 2022.

After moving to an average outside of Stony Plain with her fiancé, Jade found Tri-Municipal Veterinary Clinic and is now a member of the RVT team. She has 2 dogs, many cats and chickens to top things off!
