Aaizah has lived in south Edmonton for over 15 years. She became interested in entering the veterinary field during her undergraduate years at Grant MacEwan University, but her love for animals goes all the way back to her childhood days. Aaizah grew up with parrots, pigeons, corn snake, and cats. On occasion, the family would get a cow or goat that Aaizah would love to care for and take on walks around the neighborhood!
Aaizah graduated from the Animal Health Program at NAIT in the summer of 2021. Before becoming an AHT, Aaizah gained volunteer experience working with animals of all kinds. The highlight of her experiences would be working with wildlife during her internship at WildNorth, and most recently working with all kinds of farm animals at her practicum. Her main goal is to provide every patient with the utmost care and respect, and to always address the client’s concerns as best she can. Aaizah is always amazed by how much animals can teach us, and is eager to learn even more throughout her career. Meanwhile, a very rambunctious cat named Bravo, and two adorable budgies named Pereigh and Benito teach her lots!
In her spare time, Aaizah can be found reading, volunteering with various organizations, or finding beautiful hikes to go on with her sister who shares her love of the outdoors and animals!
Barbara grew up in Saskatchewan, where her love of animals began on the family farm and grew as she volunteered at the local shelter and veterinary clinic. After graduating, Barb worked in both private practice and also at a distributor for veterinary and pet supplies. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary practice but has a special interest in nursing care, behaviour, surgery and client relations.
Barbara currently resides in Edmonton with her beautiful dog, Hank. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, camping, reading, cooking and time spent with her very large family and furbabies.
Brianne was born and raised in Spruce Grove. Since she was young, Brianne has always had a love for animals. She would often go to her grandfather’s cattle farm as a child to help out, further deepening her passion for large animals. Brianne’s love of horse back riding can be attributed to her father, who inspired her to ride and helped her to acquire her first horse at the age of 11.
After completing a Bachelor of Science at Grant MacEwan, Brianne then continued to further her education enroling in the Animal Health Technologist program at NAIT. Now Brianne resides in Stony Plain with her cat Milo. In her downtime, Brianne enjoys sports – especially watching football and cheering for her brother who plays for the Calgary Stampeders! She also enjoys music, the outdoors, and being on or near water in the summertime!

Shawna has spent the last 25 years in Parkland County raising a family of 4 kids with her husband Tory. She recently became a grandma too! Over the years they have had many pets on their acreage, including rabbits, snakes, cats, dogs, bearded dragons, horses and a mini donkey. Some of her favourite memories with animals were helping her kids with their dogs and horses through many years of 4H.
Shawna graduated from NAIT’s Animal Health Program in 2022. She is passionate about all animals, and is always ready to jump in where help is needed. She loves talking to clients about their beloved pets, and is always looking for ways to help improve their quality of life. She loves all areas of animal medicine but especially loves large animals.
Shawna spends as much time with her family and animals outside in nature as humanly possible. She rides her three horses Shelby, Maverick and Rocky, she hikes with her dog Bandana, and she cuddles with her cats Benny, Toby, Oliver and Frank. She loves a good book, loves growing plants and working in the garden, and also can be found in the gym lifting weights. If she has a spare moment, you’ll find her somewhere outside in the sunshine with some sort of critter.
Tracy grew up on a farm just outside of Barrhead, AB. Growing up, she had quite an assortment of animals which helped her to establish her love for them and the outdoors at a very early age. After graduating from the AHT program in Vermillion in 1997, Tracy has worked in both mixed and companion animal practices. Although she enjoys companion practice, Tracy has a particular fondness for cattle and horses, and in addition to veterinary practice, has spent time in both dairy and hog operations.

They have a wonderful cat Ember, who was rescued as a kitten, a corn snake named Riddick, Spyke the emperor scorpion, and their newest addition Franklin, a 2 year old English Bulldog. Tracy loves music and spending time outdoors, especially in the mountains, and enjoys drawing, painting and reading in her spare time.
